We are very aware of increasing hardships our families are having in putting food on the table. And we know that tight economic times have further burdened organizations that were formerly able to provide a helping hand.
As such, BLA and Partnership with Children (PWC), your lead Community Based Organization, are working together to set up a food pantry in the school to help meet the increased need.
The Pantry will be open on Thursday December 17th and Friday December 18th. We will increase hours and days effective in January.
Each week students/families will be offered pre-bagged nonperishable groceries to take home. The package will contain six staple items, one of which will vary week to week. In addition to the staple foods, we will include a basket of useful items and supplies.
This is a brand new project for us, and as such, while we encourage you to access the pantry, we realize we may encounter a few hiccups along the way as we work to serve you. Please bear with us.
