This week we would love to highlight King David Chance (12th). This young man is very resilient and continues to shine! He recently shared that he received his first college acceptance letter to Hoftra University. We are very proud of you!

Keilyn Cruceta (12th)- Keilyn has been accepted to Lehman College for the Fall Semester 2021! This is such amazing news! We are so proud of you and know you will do great!

Keith Neverson (12th): Mr. Neverson remains active and present for our class meets. His contributions to class discussions invite his peers to participte. Submits quality work. Consistent! -Mr. Johnson
Aaliyah Simon (11th): Ms. Simon always seeks clarification to enhance her understanding. She actively participates, usually first and last student in class. Aaliyah is super inquisitive when it comes to United States history. Keep questioning and seeking understanding! Find the answers! - Mr. Johnson
Janiyah Stroman: (9th) Ms. Stroman, in such a short period of time, is now actively sharing her thoughts and her perspectives with her peers in our Global 9 course. I am inspired by the adjustments she made to make sure her voice was heard at every class meet. WE HEAR YOU!

Erica Eduasare is truly our Senior killing the game and deserves a shout out all to herself! Erica has been accepted to THREE colleges so far! She has been so active with her college process and it shows! On behalf of BLA, we are SO proud of you! Keep up the great work!

The following students had an amazing opportunity to partner with an organization called SuitUp. SuitUp allows high school students to work with large corporate brands and assist these brands with creating a new product. In the past we teamed up with Nike, Adidas, and even Apple.
This year, our students had the opportunity to work with FORBES in order to create an issue catered to Generation Z!
Students were AMAZING! They worked in teams, but there was only ONE Winner. The CEO himself, Mike Federle assisted a panel of judges in picking the winner! It was such an amazing experience!
